About Wasaga 500

It all started in 1960 when Robert Croll decided to make his dream of operating a Go-Kart Track a reality. He chose Wasaga Beach as his location, rented some land, created a small 500 ft dirt track and bought 3 Go Karts. From the very beginning Wasaga 500 was a hit with the locals and the tourist visiting the Beach for the summer.

Along the way, Robert bought the land where Wasaga 500 is located. In 1980, he had the track paved and expanded to a full 2km long track making Wasaga 500 one of the longest go-kart tracks in the world. Robert also added the batting cages, mini-golf and the snack bar to turn Wasaga 500 into a true Family Entertainment Centre.

Family owned and operated, Wasaga 500 has 50 go karts and is managed by Robert's son, Michael Croll. Michael clearly grew up with go-karts in his blood and he is continuing to maintain and increase the safety-first fun activities at the Wasaga 500 Family Entertainment Centre.
